Philips releases new AI-powered motion-tracking smart toothbrush in US and Europe
Philips has launched the Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige smart toothbrush in the United States and Europe. Following its initial announcement in July, the device uses artificial intelligence and motion-tracking technology to monitor brushing habits, with a wider global release planned for 2027.
The new toothbrush features integrated displays and advanced capabilities to assist users with their oral hygiene. According to The Verge, the device is now available in select markets, though a broader international rollout is not expected until 2027. While the device tracks movement to improve technique, it does not perform flossing functions.
The pricing for the Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige is $379.99. This represents a lower price point than the $499 CameraJet smart toothbrush from Dyson, a device that The Verge notes has faced issues with some early users. The previous model of the Sonicare brush remains available at a discounted price of $429.99.
