Polaroid launches new instant camera with four creative shooting modes
Polaroid has released a new instant camera, the Polaroid Mod, featuring four unique creative shooting modes. This device allows photographers to experiment with analog effects directly within the camera, moving beyond traditional adjustments like aperture or shutter speed.
The Verge reports that the Polaroid Mod includes a Brightness dial on the front for exposure adjustments, alongside a dial around the lens used to switch between the four creative shooting modes. These modes apply unique analog effects captured in-camera. The camera is launching globally starting on the day of the report for $169.99 via Polaroid's online store, with availability from other US retailers slated for October 6th. Two of the available modes reportedly combine multiple exposures into a single image.
The combination of physical dials for both general exposure and specialized creative modes suggests an emphasis on hands-on, experimental photography experiences for the user.
