Reimagining history through the lens of a contemporary artist
In short: Discover how Ed Kluz interprets the vast heritage managed by English Heritage. This video explores his artistic response to historical sites and stories, blending personal perception with the tangible remains of the past.
Based in the Roman and Georgian city of Bath, artist Ed Kluz was commissioned by English Heritage to create a special work for the 2023/24 Members' Handbook. His practice centers on how we perceive history, specifically through the reimagining of buildings, objects, and landscapes.
The project serves as an artistic dialogue between the curator and the creator, inviting viewers to see heritage not just as static preservation, but as a fluid narrative of stories and perceptions.
