Your backyard is a vital piece of a larger ecological puzzle
In short: Discover how to transform your private garden into a functional habitat for local wildlife. Environmental biologist Simon Cherriman explains the specific ways native plants and nest boxes can invite birds into your space.
Gardens serve as essential components of the wider landscape, rather than just isolated private areas. By selecting local native plants and installing well-designed nest boxes, you provide the necessary resources for bird populations to thrive in urban and suburban environments.
The video offers practical advice on creating these habitats while emphasizing safety; because nest box installation can involve working at height, high-altitude placements should be left to professional climbers.
