How to maximize food production in a tiny 25sqm garden
In short: Discover the efficiency of the no-dig method. This video demonstrates how a small, three-bed space can be fully utilized for continuous autumn harvests with minimal labor.
In this project filmed at Homeacres in Somerset, Charles Dowding showcases a 25sqm (270sqft) garden managed through no-dig principles. The system relies on adding only 5cm (2in) of compost once per year, eliminating the need for intensive soil preparation.
The method focuses on rapid workflow: finished plants are harvested by twisting or cutting, and new module-raised plants are placed using a wooden dibber. By removing weeds while they are tiny, the garden remains productive and low-maintenance.
