Inspiring the next generation of gardeners through simple, hands-on family projects
In short: Lee Connelly, known as the Skinny Jean Gardener, shares accessible gardening crafts and tips designed to get children outdoors. This RHS-featured session focuses on making horticulture fun and engaging for the whole family, providing practical inspiration for those looking to start their own gardening journey.
The Royal Horticultural Society, established in 1804, aims to lead the world in gardening by fostering excellence in the science and practice of horticulture. Their mission is built on four core principles: to inspire, involve, inform, and improve.
Lee Connelly’s approach aligns with these goals by prioritizing simple, messy, and enjoyable projects that encourage kids to interact with nature. By focusing on easy-to-recreate crafts, the show provides a gateway for families to explore gardening together.
