The Royal Horticultural Society unveils its fifth major garden in Greater Manchester
In short: After four years of development, the Royal Horticultural Society has opened its newest site, RHS Garden Bridgewater. This video highlights the collaborative effort behind the project and introduces the space as a new hub for horticultural education and community engagement in the North West.
Located in Salford, Greater Manchester, the garden represents a significant expansion for the RHS, which has been dedicated to the science and art of horticulture since its founding in 1804. The site features designs from RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold medal winners, integrated with spaces specifically reserved for community use.
The project was realized through the work of staff, volunteers, and contractors, with financial backing from partners including Salford City Council and The Peel Group. The garden is intended to serve as a center for inspiration and learning, reflecting the organization's core mission to inspire, involve, inform, and improve.
