Jordan Poole’s journey is a study in extreme fluctuations. Initially a blue-chip recruit for the 2017 class, he was ranked as the 2nd-best overall prospect and the nation's top shooting guard. However, after transferring to La Lumiere School in Indiana, his standing shifted significantly; by the time he committed to the Michigan Wolverines, he had dropped to the 90th-ranked prospect in the country.
His professional career with the Golden State Warriors saw similar peaks and valleys. After being drafted 28th overall in 2019, Poole became a vital rotation piece, notably leading the NBA in free throw percentage during the 2021–22 season with a 92.5% success rate. That same year, he secured an NBA championship.
