The Hush Hush Army: A Secret British Mission to Defend the Caucasus
In short: Follow the Dunsterforce, a clandestine British military unit, as they navigate the volatile Caucasus region during World War I. This video chronicles their journey through hostile territory to reach the Siege of Baku and their encounter with the Centrocaspian Dictatorship.
Known as the Hush Hush Army, the Dunsterforce faced a complex landscape of warring factions while traveling from Enzeli toward Baku. Their path was obstructed by local warlords, cossacks, and bolshevik soviets, forcing them to engage in clashes with the Jangalis along the way.
Upon arriving at the Siege of Baku, the force, led by Dunsterville, confronted the political reality of the Centrocaspian Dictatorship. This governing body was composed of five dictators, marking a critical point in the mission's struggle to secure the region during the broader conflict of the First World War.
