Delgado's extensive background spans leadership roles at the Vancouver Maritime Museum for 15 years and the Institute of Nautical Archaeology, where he served as both President and Executive Director between 2006 and 2010.
His career also includes founding the maritime preservation program for the National Park Service and hosting the television series The Sea Hunters for five years. His academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Archaeology from Simon Fraser University, alongside degrees in Maritime Studies and history.
