The Celts were not the primitive barbarians history claimed they were
In short: Before Rome's dominance, a sophisticated Celtic civilization spanned from the British Isles to modern-day Ukraine. This documentary uses CGI reconstructions and archaeological evidence to dismantle the myth of the "barbaric" tribe.
Archaeological discoveries in France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are revealing that Celts were masters of the Iron Age. Rather than living in primitive villages, they engineered sophisticated mines, developed advanced metalworking techniques, and built fortified cities across a vast continent-wide territory.
The film explores how these warrior peoples organized their societies and why their civilization ultimately vanished following Roman conquests.
