Why your complex identity is a competitive advantage
In short: Rebeca Hwang explores how juggling multiple cultural backgrounds—like Korean heritage and an Argentinian upbringing—can be transformed from a source of alienation into a profound personal strength in a globalized world.
Hwang shares her personal journey of navigating various identities across different countries, including the United States. She highlights a pivotal shift in perspective: rather than viewing diverse backgrounds as obstacles to belonging, they can be leveraged as distinct advantages.
The talk advocates for a future where complex identities serve as bridges rather than barriers. It explores how embracing internal diversity allows individuals to navigate global systems more effectively and fosters a world that unites people through their multifaceted experiences.
