Researchers have identified a concerning bug affecting how certain devices handle image editing. As explained by Drs. Steve Bagley and Mike Pound, the process of cropping images on Pixel phones does not entirely remove the discarded pixels. Instead, a substantial portion of the original, full-sized image can still be recovered from the seemingly cropped file, presenting a significant privacy risk.
