Is the 'lost generation' finally finding its financial footing?

After entering the workforce during a period of extreme financial instability, Millennials faced lower incomes and less wealth than their predecessors. This video examines whether recent data suggests a significant shift in the economic trajectory of this generation.

In 2016, the economic outlook for Millennials appeared bleak. Data from that year showed they had accumulated less wealth than Boomers or Gen Xers at comparable ages, while also facing lower income levels, reduced homeownership rates, and delayed milestones such as marriage and children [S2:p3].

However, the forecast has begun to brighten. By 2019, the median Millennial household was earning approximately $10,000 more than previous generations had earned at the same stage of life [S2:p3].
