In short: Audrey Landers is best known for her iconic portrayal of Afton Cooper on the television series Dallas and as Val Clarke in the 1985 film A Chorus Line. Yet, her professional journey extends far beyond acting, encompassing a diverse portfolio of music, children's television production, and international fashion design.

Born in Philadelphia in 1956, Landers pursued a rigorous academic and artistic path, studying music at the Juilliard School and earning a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Columbia University. Her early career was defined by consistent television work, including guest appearances on popular series like The Dukes of Hazzard and The Love Boat, as well as serving as a panelist on game shows such as Match Game. Her transition into film was marked by her role in the 1985 adaptation of A Chorus Line, directed by Richard Attenborough.

In the 1990s, Landers expanded her creative scope into children's media. Inspired by her twin sons, Adam and Daniel, she created The Huggabug Club in 1996. For this project, she wrote the scripts and composed over 250 original songs, while her mother, Ruth Landers, produced the series for a five-year run on Public Television. This collaborative spirit continued into the 2000s with the family adventure film Circus Island, which Landers co-wrote and co-directed.

Landers has also maintained a significant international presence in the music industry, particularly in Europe, where she released several albums including Holiday Dreams in 1984 and My Dreams For You in 1990. Alongside her mother, she has further diversified her professional output through the Landers STAR Collection, a fashion line that has achieved global reach across markets in the United States, Italy, Germany, Canada, and the United Kingdom via QVC. Her career remains a testament to the versatility of a performer who successfully navigated the transitions between acting, music, and entrepreneurship.
