In short: After 75 years in storage, a crocodile mummy was meticulously conserved for a special exhibition. This video details the technical processes required to prepare the ancient artifact for public viewing at the British Museum.

The crocodile mummy was featured in the exhibition titled Scanning Sobek: mummy of the crocodile god, which ran from 10 December 2015 to 21 February 2016. As part of The Asahi Shimbun Displays in Room 3, the project marked the first time the specimen had been shown to the public in over seven decades.
