The search for a single sacred relic has fueled 400 years of exploration
In short: For four centuries, explorers have braved mist-covered cloud forests and towering ice peaks to find the lost cities of the Inca. While many sought gold, one specific object remained the ultimate prize: the Great Golden Disc of the Sun.
This documentary follows David Adams as he travels to Puncuyoc, a sacred site described as the 'Sister City' of Machu Picchu. Unlike the famous ruins discovered by Hiram Bingham, Puncuyoc has eluded discovery for generations.
The video explores the enduring mystery of these lost cities and the high-stakes search for the ultimate symbol of Inca divinity.
