Women have fought on the front lines of history's most defining global conflicts.
In short: This documentary explores the lives of female warriors who participated in combat throughout history. From the English Civil War to modern conflicts in the Middle East, these women defied traditional roles to shape the world through their direct involvement in warfare.
The narrative examines women who experienced battle firsthand, often adopting male attire to serve in conflicts ranging from the Napoleonic Wars to the American Civil War. Their participation spans centuries of global upheaval, including the two World Wars, as well as the wars in Korea and Vietnam.
By highlighting these figures, the film underscores the often-overlooked role of women in military history, demonstrating that their influence on the outcome of major wars has been a consistent, if frequently obscured, reality.
