How force and time combine to change an object's momentum
In short: Explore the fundamental relationship between force, duration, and momentum. This video explains the mechanics of impulse and how different combinations of force and time can produce the exact same physical result.
Impulse represents the change in an object's momentum. This change is calculated by multiplying the net force applied to an object by the duration of time that force is active. Interestingly, the same amount of impulse can be achieved through two distinct methods: applying a large force over a brief interval, or applying a much smaller force over a longer period.
