Co-authoring with machines to expand the boundaries of human creativity
In short: K Allado-McDowell explores how collaborating with artificial intelligence can serve as a catalyst for new worlds. Rather than replacing human effort, this partnership offers a way to preserve and enhance our core humanity through shared creation.
Drawing from the experience of co-writing three books with AI, Allado-McDowell argues that nurturing a creative relationship with these systems opens new mental horizons. The presentation introduces three principles for a future where technology acts as a partner in human expression.
The talk culminates in a performance of "Song of the Ambassadors," an otherworldly opera co-created with AI. This project serves as a practical example of how machine collaboration can produce complex, original art that pushes the limits of traditional media.
