The metaphorical banhammer used by online moderators is now a physical reality.
In short: For years, online moderators have used the term banhammer to describe removing disruptive users from digital spaces. This video explores the creation of a literal, physical version of that tool, bringing a common internet metaphor into the tangible world.
The project was inspired by Mark, a user on Mixer, and brought to life through the collaboration of Chris Joel, who provided the concept and wielded the physical hammer. This build transforms a long-standing piece of internet slang into a functional object, bridging the gap between digital moderation and physical action.
