Are we prepared for the reality of our science fiction future?
In short: Anab Jain presents a vision of the future that is no longer just fiction. This talk explores how we can use immersive experiences to confront the potential consequences of emerging technologies.
The video examines the tangible potential of the world we are currently building. Jain uses projects that allow people to see and feel different possibilities, such as a future where intelligent machines patrol our streets or where genetic heritage dictates the quality of our healthcare.
By bringing these possible futures to life, the talk highlights the importance of actively fighting for the specific world we want to inhabit as technologies like AI and gene editing move from science fiction into reality.
