How live signals from honey bees create a tapestry of light and sound
In short: Discover Beam, a multi-sensory sculpture by Wolfgang Buttress that translates the real-time activity of Cornish Black Bees into an immersive experience of light and music.
The sculpture, titled Beam, uses live signals from the farm of Glastonbury Festival host Michael Eavis to drive its performance. By weaving the vibrations and sounds of bees with specially composed music, the work aims to foster a sense of peace and direct communication with the natural world.
