In short: In the frozen wilderness, duck families face a life-or-death gamble. While adults can escape easily, vulnerable ducklings must rely on collective strategy to evade predators.

This footage from 'Animal Babies' captures white wolves hunting ducks in an icy environment. Because the ducklings are too small to fly or swim quickly enough to flee on their own, the families must employ specific tactics to trick the wolves and survive.

The video highlights the unique challenges of growing up in some of Earth's toughest climates, showcasing how these young birds navigate the constant threat of becoming dinner.
