The Canadian Inuit Dog faces a modern crisis of survival
In short: This documentary explores the evolution of the Canadian Inuit Dog, tracing its journey from an essential Arctic working partner to a species facing potential extinction in a technological world.
The film examines the deep historical roots of these dogs as primary sled animals for the Inuit people. It highlights the unique bond formed between humans and canines in extreme environments defined by the midnight sun.
Beyond their history, the narrative addresses a modern tension: how these specialized working dogs navigate a society dominated by new technology. The documentary serves as a portrait of an icon at risk of disappearing from the landscape it once helped define.
