Why are octopuses punching fish in the Red Sea?
In short: In this episode of Amaze Me, Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin investigate a surprising behavior where octopuses appear to strike fish. This footage, which caught biologists by surprise, explores the complex dynamics of underwater hunting.
The video examines a phenomenon observed in the Red Sea where octopuses have been seen punching fish. While the behavior was unexpected to the biologists who first filmed it, researchers are investigating whether it relates to a breakdown in the cooperative hunting efforts between fish and octopus.
