How two butterfly species staged a spectacular British comeback
In short: Witness the miraculous life cycle of the Heath Fritillary and White Admiral butterflies. This film journeys through peculiar British landscapes to show how these species, once near extinction, now form a massive natural spectacle.
The film explores the incredible transformation and behaviors of these 'flying jewels' across the UK and beyond. It moves through diverse settings, from disused railway sidings with rusting locomotives to an eccentric millionaire's mansion filled with dragons and gnome homes.
Beyond the insects, the footage captures a wide human tapestry—including graffiti artists, scientists, and farmers—all connected by the inspiration these butterflies provide.
