The calculated hunting tactics of killer whales at the shoreline
In short: Witness the intense moment killer whales approach the shore to hunt a herd of sea lions. This footage captures a striking display of predatory behaviour from the acclaimed Life series.
Part of the 'Trials of Life' documentary, this segment is part of Sir David Attenborough's comprehensive study of animal behaviour. The series explores the entire life cycle of animals, from their arrival in the world to their complex reproductive techniques.
The production of this series was a massive undertaking, requiring Attenborough to travel nearly 250,000 miles over three and a half years to capture these rare natural encounters.
