How macaques raid Japan's most bountiful agricultural lands
In short: In Japan's crowded archipelago, macaques are braving human defences to reach high-quality produce. This footage captures the struggle between nature and agriculture across the country's diverse landscapes.
The video explores the survival strategies of macaques as they attempt to access the world's best produce within Japan's agricultural sectors. These primates navigate a landscape that ranges from frozen northern seas to subtropical islands with volcanoes and coral reefs.
Beyond the raids, the series examines how life persists across the central islands' forested mountains and how humans and wildlife coexist amidst the natural forces of the archipelago.
