The terrifying power of a super-organism in flight
In short: Experience the collective intelligence behind one of nature's most spectacular aerial displays. This film explores how individual birds merge into a singular, powerful entity capable of disrupting human infrastructure.
The documentary examines the phenomenon of superswarms, where millions of starlings coordinate to create complex aerial acrobatics. While visually stunning, these movements represent a collective intelligence that can have significant real-world consequences for human civilization.
Beyond the beauty of the swarm lies a capacity for disruption: these birds can immobilize transportation systems, attack energy supplies, and undermine urban environments. The film uses advanced photography to reveal how humans attempt to defend against these coordinated animal invasions.
