Can a tiny penguin survive a deadly dash from a giant predator?
In short: As melting sea ice makes escaping predators increasingly difficult, witness a high-stakes struggle for survival in the Antarctic waters.
This footage from the BBC Earth series Seven Worlds, One Planet captures a life-or-death moment between a small penguin and a massive leopard seal. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, the episode explores how the shifting Antarctic environment, specifically the earlier seasonal melting of sea ice, creates new challenges for animals attempting to flee predators.
