Survival on the Edge: The Divergent Paths of Polar Bear Siblings
In short: Witness a raw study of adaptation in one of Earth's harshest climates. This documentary follows two siblings navigating the life-or-death stakes of the Arctic as their environment shifts beneath them.
Filmed across Svalbard (Spitzbergen), Jérôme Bouvier captures the grueling reality of polar bear life amidst 60 kilometer per hour winds and permanent light. The narrative centers on two cubs who have recently finished weaning and must now independently secure food in a warming landscape.
The footage highlights a stark contrast in survival strategies: while the sister struggles to hunt walruses, her brother finds success hunting seals resting on drifting icebergs. It serves as a poignant look at individual destiny within a changing ecosystem.
