Survival at the crossroads of East and West
In short: Turkey's landscape offers a masterclass in biological resilience. This documentary captures the high-stakes reality of wildlife navigating a region defined by extreme geographical contrasts and environmental hostility.
The series explores the 'virtually unfilmed' natural history of Turkey, a land where rugged mountains and high altitudes meet shifting climates and hostile coastlines. It highlights how species persevere in a landscape marked by frequent earthquakes and diverse biomes, ranging from thick forests to remote deserts.
By capturing footage from deep seas to high altitudes, the production illustrates the intersection of East and West. It focuses on the constant adaptation required for wildlife to survive in these spectacular but demanding environments.
