Did ants conquer the planet entirely on their own, or did they have help?
In short: Ants are global powerhouses, but their rise to dominance might not be a solo achievement. This video explores the possibility that ants thrived by hitching a ride on a separate, massive evolutionary event.
Ants appear to have benefited from a broader evolutionary explosion that facilitated their global expansion. Rather than achieving world domination through isolated efforts, their success is likely linked to these wider biological shifts.
Understanding this context reveals that the success of ants is deeply intertwined with the history of life on Earth, suggesting their prevalence is part of a larger, interconnected evolutionary narrative.
