The mathematical precision required to draw a perfectly straight line
In short: Master the transition from abstract equations to visual geometry. This video demonstrates how to systematically generate coordinates and plot them to create accurate linear graphs.
To construct a straight-line graph, you must first translate an equation into a table of values by substituting chosen x-values to solve for y. These results form sets of coordinates that serve as the foundation for your plot.
While only 3 coordinates are technically required to define a line, using 4 or 5 points is recommended to ensure accuracy and catch any calculation errors during the process.
