The Sun isn't yellow and shooting stars aren't stars
In short: Most of what we learn about space in school is simplified to the point of inaccuracy. This video deconstructs seven common celestial myths, from the true color of our star to the mechanics of lunar phases.
The video systematically dismantles popular misconceptions about our cosmic neighborhood. It clarifies that the Sun is not yellow, explains why Venus is classified as a planet rather than a star, and corrects the myth that shooting stars are actually stars falling from the sky.
Beyond these visual myths, the content explores the physics of our world, including the real causes of Earth's seasons and the specific reasons behind the Moon's rotation and phases. It also addresses the persistent falsehood that the Great Wall of China can be seen from space.
