If this prototype succeeds, it will form the basis for EPS-Sterna, a proposed constellation of satellites developed by ESA for Eumetsat. This initiative aims to address the urgent need for more frequent, reliable data to monitor the Arctic's extreme and rapidly shifting weather patterns.
