The heart of a mission that redefined our view of comets
In short: Experience the emotional and technical journey of Philae, the lander that made Rosetta one of history's most famous space missions. This footage captures the team behind the scenes during the high-stakes comet landing.
Filmed at ESA’s base in Darmstadt and the DLR control room in Köln, this special edition follows the 'Comet Hunters.' The team worked to execute a historic landing on a comet's surface, an achievement that elevated Rosetta to iconic status alongside the Moon landings.
While the lander may currently be in hibernation, the video explores the human element of space exploration—the dedication required to reach such distant celestial bodies and the lasting legacy of European space cooperation.
