The handover occurred as Expedition 34 prepared to conclude its mission. Ford, along with engineers Oleg Novitskiy and Evgeny Tarelkin, arrived on October 25 and are scheduled to land in Kazakhstan on March 15. Hadfield will lead the next phase alongside NASA and Russian flight engineers, with new crew members arriving on March 29.
