A master's degree and a view of the entire planet
In short: Experience life on the International Space Station through a direct dialogue with one of its commanders. This session offers a rare look at the intersection of orbital research and real-world business logic.
NASA Commander Tim Kopra engaged with Columbia University business students during a live Q&A session on April 21. Having earned his MBA from the same institution in 2013, Kopra provided a unique perspective on the complexities of life and scientific research in orbit.
Kopra had been stationed on the International Space Station since December, preparing for a return to Earth in June to conclude a six-month mission. The exchange highlights the practical application of academic study within the high-stakes environment of space exploration.
