From Connecticut to Orbit: Astronauts Answer Kids' Questions from Space
In short: Experience a rare educational exchange where the International Space Station becomes a classroom. This video captures NASA flight engineers answering questions about orbital life for elementary students.
On April 8, NASA Flight Engineers Rick Mastracchio and Steve Swanson hosted an in-flight educational event with third and fourth graders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Monroe, Connecticut. The session provided a firsthand look at the realities of work and living in orbit.
The interaction featured two astronauts on different stages of their missions: Mastracchio, a native of Waterbury, Connecticut, was preparing to return home in mid-May, while Swanson had recently arrived at the orbital laboratory and remained aboard until mid-September.
