The universe may be closing its doors behind us
In short: We often think of space travel as a matter of better engines or faster ships. However, the universe possesses structural barriers that make contact with distant civilizations physically impossible, regardless of our technological progress.
The video examines three fundamental cosmological barriers that isolate humanity from the rest of the cosmos. These are not engineering hurdles but inherent features of the universe's architecture. They include the Cosmic Microwave Background, which veils the earliest moments of the Big Bang, and the accelerating expansion of space, which is actively pushing distant galaxies beyond our reach forever.
Furthermore, the existence of enormous cosmic structures stretching across billions of light-years creates physical boundaries. These factors suggest that the universe is not just expanding; in many ways, it is effectively closing off the rest of the cosmos from our local corner of space.
