Can a Hurricane Create Tornadoes?
In short: Hurricanes and other tropical cyclones can produce tornadoes, mostly from small, shallow supercells in their rainbands, where deep moisture meets strong low-level wind shear.
A 1:29 short film in the series “Invisible Atmosphere”, narrated by intellect_voice_01.
