The private lives of Britain's most iconic comedy duo
In short: Explore the domestic world of Morecambe & Wise through a collection of personal films never before seen by the public. This documentary reveals how the legendary double act lived, relaxed, and bonded away from the spotlight.
The documentary utilizes an archive of home movies shot during the 1950s and 1960s by Eric Morecambe, Ernie Wise, their wives, and close friends. This collection offers a rare glimpse into their lives at home, on holiday, and during downtime between professional engagements.
By combining this previously inaccessible footage with new interviews from family members and early-career colleagues, the film provides a comprehensive look at the personal dynamics of one of Britain's most enduring comedy partnerships.
