In short: The 2024 Survivor Series: WarGames brought high-stakes drama to Vancouver. Featuring a unique roofless cage surrounding two side-by-side rings, this specialized match format forces teams into a staggered battle of endurance. As the third annual branded event, it marked a significant transition for WWE's streaming distribution and a historic return to Canada.

Held on November 30, 2024, at the Rogers Arena, this 38th annual Survivor Series was a landmark event for WWE. It served as the first premium live event in Vancouver since 1998's Rock Bottom: In Your House. This installment was particularly significant for the company's digital future, acting as the final Survivor Series to stream on the standalone WWE Network in most international markets before content merged under Netflix in January 2025. In the United States, it was the last to appear on Peacock before ESPN's direct-to-consumer service assumed rights in September 2025.

The event's centerpiece was the WarGames match, a specialized format involving a roofless steel cage that encompasses two adjacent rings. The match follows a staggered entry system where one member from each team enters the cage initially, followed by additional participants every few minutes. Victory is achieved through a pinfall or submission, though escaping the cage results in a forfeit. The 2024 event featured two such matches. The opening bout was a women's match where Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, Naomi, and Bayley defeated The Judgment Day, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. In the concluding men's match, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and The Usos (Jey and Jimmy) triumphed over Bronson Reed along with The Bloodline, which included Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa.

Beyond the cage, the event featured several high-stakes championship matches. LA Knight successfully defended his United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura, marking Nakamura's third title win. Additionally, the card included a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship involving Bron Breakker, Sheamus, and Ludwig Kaiser, and a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship involving Damian Priest.
