The oldest Welsh fairy tale reveals a realm of high ideals
In short: Discover why Elidyr and the Tylwyth Teg is considered the earliest recorded Welsh fairy tale. This video explores how a boy's journey through liminal spaces uncovers a hidden world governed by its own complex ethics.
The narrative follows Elidyr as he navigates ancient, transitional spaces to encounter the Tylwyth Teg. Rather than simple folklore, the story depicts a deep realm where fairies possess their own distinct high ideals and moral codes.
The video examines the deeper symbolism of this encounter, interpreting it as a meditation on childhood, truth, and the recovery of lost wisdom in the face of the extraordinary.
