Step inside the private, unseen corners of Monty Don's legendary Longmeadow garden.
In short: Join Monty Don and Jo Whiley for an intimate look at the hidden side of Longmeadow. This special episode explores the personal spaces that never reach the camera, from imaginary jewel gardens to a deep-rooted passion for lettuce.
In this collaboration between the RHS and the BBC, Monty Don reveals the private landscape of his home, Longmeadow. Beyond the familiar televised views, the discussion uncovers a secret garden space that remains off-camera, alongside his creative 'make-believe' jewel garden.
The conversation also touches on Don's specific horticultural interests, including his affection for lettuce. This episode serves as a precursor to the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show coverage, which begins on Sunday 17 May across BBC 1 and BBC 2.
