How a Puerto Rican rapper redefined the global charts
In short: From a Christmas Eve debut to dominating the Billboard Hot 100, Bad Bunny’s discography reveals a relentless ascent. With over one hundred singles as a lead artist, his journey from X 100pre to global collaborations shows how Latin trap and reggaeton captured the world's attention.
The trajectory of Bad Bunny’s career is marked by rapid commercial success and significant chart milestones. His studio album debut, X 100pre, arrived on December 24, 2018. The project made an immediate impact, reaching number one on the Top Latin Albums chart and number eleven on the Billboard 200. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) eventually granted the album a Latin diamond certification, recognizing sales of more than 600,000 copies within the United States.
Following this solo success, the artist expanded his reach through high-profile collaborations. On June 28, 2019, he released Oasis, a joint studio album with J Balvin. This collaboration also achieved top-tier status, topping the Top Latin Albums chart and entering the top ten of the Billboard 200. The RIAA certified this project 2× Platinum, further cementing his presence in the industry.
By January 2025, the scale of his influence was evident in digital streaming and singles performance. A total of 113 tracks by Bad Bunny have appeared on the Billboard Hot 100, featuring the chart-topping single "I Like It" with J Balvin and Cardi B. His discography also includes top-five singles such as "Mia," featuring Drake, and "Dakiti," featuring Jhay Cortez. The sheer volume of his output is reflected in his 29 songs surpassing one billion streams on Spotify, supported by a massive network of collaborations with artists ranging from Rosalía to Marc Anthony.
