From bitter rivals to top-ranked tag team champions
In short: In professional wrestling, some of the most compelling alliances are born from conflict. Fraxiom began as two competitors who couldn't agree on a singles match, only to transform into one of the highest-ranked tag teams in the industry within a single year.
The partnership between Nathan Frazer and Axiom is a study in narrative pivot. Initially, the two were rivals; their December 5, 2023, singles match was interrupted by outside interference, resulting in a no contest. Following a rematch where Axiom defeated Frazer, the two made the strategic decision to team up rather than continue their feud. This transition saw them enter the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, where they quickly established dominance by defeating Hank and Tank in early January 2024.
Their ascent was rapid. By March 2024, Fraxiom qualified for the NXT Tag Team Championship Eliminator Tournament. After a loss at Stand & Deliver, they secured the titles in a subsequent rematch against The Wolf Dogs. Their reign was marked by internal tension: while they defended the belts successfully—including a historic defense on the January 23, 2025, episode of Impact!—Frazer frequently attempted to pursue individual accolades, much to Axiom's displeasure.
The team's prestige was solidified in 2024 when they were ranked No. 2 out of the top 100 tag teams by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI). After losing their first reign at 126 days on August 13, they regained the titles just 19 days later. They eventually moved to the SmackDown brand in April 2025, where they faced high-profile competition including The Street Profits and a complex six-team tables, ladders, and chairs match at SummerSlam.
Fraxiom's trajectory highlights the 'curator' style of wrestling storytelling: blending individual ambitions with collective success. They have navigated multiple promotions, including WWE, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, and TNA, making them a versatile fixture in modern sports entertainment.
