In short: Before she was a professional wrestling icon, Nora Greenwald was a teenage powerlifting phenom. After leaving Minnesota for Florida with just $200 and an old Oldsmobile, she transitioned from a strength athlete to a mainstay of the ring, eventually earning a place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Nora Greenwald's journey to professional wrestling began long before her 1997 debut under the name Starla Saxton. A former gymnast, she trained as a powerlifter between the ages of 14 and 18. Her strength was evident early on; at just 14, she set a Minnesota state powerlifting record for her age group by lifting 100 pounds.

After leaving home in 1996 with $200 and a 1965 Oldsmobile, Greenwald worked various jobs in Florida, including at a Subway restaurant and as a telemarketer, before trying wrestling out of curiosity. She began training under Dean Malenko in 1997, eventually finding success on the independent circuit and in major promotions like WCW and the WWF/WWE.

Her career was defined by versatile personas, from the villainous Miss Madness in WCW to the superhero sidekick Mighty Molly alongside The Hurricane. In the WWE, she famously adopted a 'pure and wholesome' character, a self-righteous persona that stood in stark contrast to the 'Diva' aesthetic of the era. This character arc included a high-profile feud with Trish Stratus and a dramatic hair-shaving match at WrestleMania XX in 2004.

Greenwald retired from full-time wrestling in April 2005, citing a desire to spend time with her family. She has since returned for sporadic appearances, including the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame induction. Today, she continues her connection to the industry as a backstage producer and trainer for WWE LFG.
